Noyafa NF-818L Underground Wire Tracer with Anti-Interference Cable Testing

The Noyafa NF-818L is a professional underground wire tracer and cable tester designed for locating and tracking buried and hidden wires with precision. It helps quickly find the break-point and direction of underground and wall-through cables, making it an ideal tool for network and electrical professionals.

Product Features

  • Locating & Tracking Wires: Quickly and accurately locate buried and hidden wires, as well as determine break-points and cable direction. Suitable for use with underground cables and wall-through cables.
  • Depth & Length: Detect cables at a depth of up to 2.6 feet (0.8 meters) and a length of up to 1640 feet (500 meters).
  • Short Circuit Test Function: If a short circuit is detected between the two tested lines, the short-circuit indicator light will turn on, providing immediate feedback.
  • Single-core or Double-core Wire Compatibility: Supports both single-core and double-core wires, making it versatile for various applications.
  • LED Light and Earphone Jack: Equipped with an LED light for improved visibility in dark areas and an earphone jack for audible signals in noisy environments.

How to Find the Wire Locations?

  1. Turn on the receiver and swing it back and forth. You will hear the sound “bi bi bi”.
  2. When approaching the break-point, the tone will weaken and then disappear.
  3. If the tone disappears, it means the break-point is at this location.

How to Enhance the Signal?

To enhance the signal, you can create a ground connection by using a ground stud. Screwdrivers or metal slices can be used as a medium for ground studs.

Notes

  • Do not use on live circuits to avoid damaging the tester! The underground wire tracer is only designed to locate non-energized cables.
  • For single-core or double-core wires, use the red alligator clip for the signal line and the black alligator clip to connect to the ground or neutral line.
  • For shielded and multi-stranded wires:
    • If there is signal interference, the break-point cannot be determined, but the line direction can still be tested.
    • If detecting the direction of a shielded wire, the red clip should grip the shielding layer.
