Acoustic audio systems cable and wire. Speaker cable

Acoustic cables or audio cables are used for transmitting audio signals from active devices of the sound system, such as an audio amplifier or car stereo, to passive devices - speakers or sound systems. Hence, they are often colloquially referred to as speaker cables. When installing speaker cables, it's crucial to observe wire polarity. Therefore, Electro Base offers audio cables:

  • In transparent sheathing, where the "+" wire has a red stripe marking.
  • In opaque sheathing, where one wire is black and the "+" wire is red.
  • In public spaces with potential for high human concentration, acoustic cables with an LSZH (LOW SMOKE ZERO HALOGEN) sheath are used. This means, in case of fire, the cable emits minimal smoke and absolutely no harmful halogens.
  • In professional acoustic cables, the wire material is oxygen-free copper, melted under non-oxidizing conditions to remove oxygen and unalloyed copper, achieving a purity level of at least 99.95% Cu.
