Iron horizontally and vertically. Thanks to the drip lock function, you don't have to worry about stains caused by water drops when ironing delicate materials at a low temperature. With this iron, you can iron horizontally and vertically, making it suitable for hanging-textiles such as curtains.

Descaling function. The Philips DST5030/20 iron has a descaling system that removes lime deposits from the iron. Use this function once a month together with regular tap water, and the iron will remain in excellent condition year after year.

About the Philips 5000 Series DST5030/20 Iron
  • Additional steam at 180 g/min easily removes even the most stubborn wrinkles.
  • Continuous steam at 45 g/min helps you remove wrinkles faster.
  • 2,400W – the iron heats up quickly.
  • Large 320 ml water tank - iron many clothes at a time.
  • SteamGlide Plus – the non-scratch surface glides well.

Ironing tips
  • Fabrics with things like decorative stitches, sequins or lace should be ironed at a low temperature.
  • If you are unsure about the materials, first start with the lowest temperature in an unnoticeable place and gradually increase the temperature until you get a good result.
  • Never iron a garment with sweat stains or other stains. The heat presses the stains and discolorations onto the fabric, and they can no longer be removed.
  • Many fabrics are easier to iron when they are slightly damp. For example, silk should always be ironed with steam.
